How to Order

Placing your order

You can place an order with us for any of the items shown on our website by:

Clicking the 'Buy' button on any product page and then filling in your shipping and credit card details on the order form.

Telephoning us on 01765 608078 during office hours which are 11am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 5pm on Saturdays (the shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays).

Methods of payment

If you prefer not to place your order online, we are happy to take payment by credit or debit card over the 'phone. Payment can also be made by sending a cheque made payable to ‘Storm in a Teacup’ to our shop at: 5 Kirkgate, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 1PA. However, please note this will necessarily incur a small delay whilst we wait for the cheque to clear.

Posting Methods and Charges

Your purchases will be sent by either Royal Mail recorded or special delivery, both of which require a signature. If you are not at home, the Post Office will leave a card for you to either re-arrange the delivery for another time, or to collect from your local sorting office.

Our standard delivery charge is £4.95.

Delivery Times

If the item is in stock we aim to process and despatch your order within 48 hours of receipt. Purchases are sent out by first class post and you should therefore receive them within 3-4 working days of order.

Please note, however, that many of the items we sell have to be ordered especially and/or imported. Therefore if you order an item that is not in stock, you can expect the delivery time to be longer - usually 10-14 days from the date of order. So if you need an item for a particular date or are otherwise unsure when your purchase will arrive, we would advise either that you telephone us for confirmation of a delivery date or send us an email

Returns Policy

As many of the items we sell are purchased on special order it is our policy not to offer refunds, although we will provide a credit note if you wish to swap an item for another colour or style and the original is returned to us in perfect condition within 14 days of purchase.

If the item is faulty, we will of course be happy to provide you with a replacement or refund the purchase price of the item.

It is not our policy to refund postage.
